In addition to her great passion for harmony singing and her partnership with Julie Nicholas and Willow Wray, Sheilah has been vocal soloist for 5 years with the 17-piece swing band, the Starduster Orchestra. Her love of performance has led to avant-garde productions in Nina Wise's Motion Theater and San Francisco's Soon 3. For many years Sheilah was a programmer at KPFA, doing shows on women's music and the eclectic world music of First Light. She has composed for theater and documentary films, and co-created four albums with Barbara Borden on their own label, Cloud 9 Music. She also co-produced Pilar's 1997 release, Fierce Joy. Sheilah's latest passion is storytelling and she has created many programs for kids and adults alike, combining great world tales and songs we all love to sing.
